90’th Birthday Greeting for Cavas Mamoo - link to Pundoles

Hootoksi Tyabji, 

Cavas Lalkaka, eldest brother of ma Roshan and known to all of us ‘kids’ as Mamoo, passed away peacefully in his sleep in Switzerland on 5th Jan 2012.

He ignored my parents' objections and gave me my first puppy, a Daschund we called Happy, who always lived up to his name!

Mamoo was a favorite of his grandfather and his mother and when he finished school he asserted himself by replying to an advertisement in The Times Of India to co-drive a Skoda car from Bombay to Czechoslovakia. From there, he went on to London where he studied aeronautical engineering and met his wife Roshan (another story); and now he is off to reunite with her, Judy and the Universal Spirit of Love.

As my Ma who loved him fiercely said, “He had a good innings.” His son Kaikoo and the rest of us carry his legacy of adventure and love...
