Another Wish fulfilled, March 2010

Hootoksi Tyabji, Sydney, 27 March - 4 April 2010

It's over a year since I've been searching for that fare which would permit me to travel to Sydney to visit my dearest ma-in-law in her (now not so new) room at the Dougherty Apartments Retirement Village & Care Facility in Chatswood.

AirAsia provided the transport, my dear friend Dhun the shelter, and I spent a happy week with my beloved ma-in-law, Alice. She took me around to see all her activities, and introduced me to her friends, buddies and care givers. It was also great to visit Ursula (sis-in-law) and Bruce in their new apartment. It has a Nursing Home attached and is just the perfect spot for them.

Having seen how happy Ursula is and how well cared for ma is, I can conjure up a mental picture of them in their new environments, and that makes being so far away from them so much easier!
