Roshan Pundole 's philanthropic work at Bukit Nanas recognized

For over 32 years my Mama, Roshan Pundole, worked as a volunteer at Asrama Cahaya Rumah Wanita Cacat Infant Jesus Convent, in Bukit Nanas, Kuala Lumpur. This is a residential home for intellectually, physically and emotionally challenged adults who have lived there since they were very young. The home began with a few abandoned, disabled children in 1914.
In addition to tirelessly raising funds for the institution, Ma also spent time with the residents, singing and playing board games with them and teaching them songs which they loved to sing. When she was bed-ridden and very ill at home in Jalan P Ramlee, sister Stephanie, the nun in charge of the home at the time, brought the few residents who were somewhat mobile over to cheer mama up. They surrounded her bed and began to sing a song she had taught them in Gujarati and lifted her spirits like nothing else could have! To them she was affectionately always known as “Rosie”.
This certificate of Service of Love and Commitment was given to her at a teaparty given in her honour at the home.
